托福聽力測驗  考古學(Archeology)相關單字 

  考古學話題，是托福聽力考試中Leture中非常容易出現的一個話題。考古話題往往會和其他學科相關如歷史、人類學或藝術、地質學等等，像這樣的話題的交叉性，所以在準備需要累積一定的知識背景在。

 舉一小段有關 Mummy的 聽力原文：

It was important in the ancient. Egyptian way of life preserve the body physically after death. The Egyptians had an elaborated of the afterlife and felt that to take full advantage of it, the physical body must remain in existence.

  They look great precautions, therefore, in the treatment of corpses, especially of high-placed individuals and most particularly of pharaohs. The internal organs (which decayed most easily ) were removed and stored separately in stone jars, although the heart, as the very core of life, was replaced in the body.

  像木乃伊這樣的考古學類型，不算是很冷僻的知識，其實新聞上多少都有相關的內容，所以可以透過一些網路上的英文新聞或discovery來增加知識背景的範圍，但我之前也說過，托福基本上不會考太過艱深的專有名詞，但是對於聽力內容的相關描述就必須要有一定的掌握能力，才有辦法掌握出考題內容的關鍵。
